Wildfowl Carving Magazine Releases Latest Book, Loon and Chicks
October 25 , 2017Northbrook, IL—Wildfowl Carving Magazine and Ampry Publishing are pleased to announce the release of their latest book, Loon and Chicks: Complete Step-By-Step Instructions for Carving and Painting an Adult Common Loon and Its Young by world champion wildfowl sculptor, Laurie J. McNeil. Loon and Chicks includes step-by-step instructions for creating a carving of a loon and her two chicks from scratch, from the initial design phases to the carving to adding texture to painting and more. McNeil includes detailed notes regarding tips and techniques to follow as well as including a full list of tools and materials needed to complete the project.
Loon and Chicks is part of Wildfowl Carving Magazine‘s Workbench Projects series. Other books in the series include step-by-step instructions on how to make a miniature snowy owl, a green-winged teal pair, a lifesize merlin, and more.
